Yes, this attraction is a bit dated…Yes, some kids may fall asleep or cry because they “must go” to this…No, don’t skip it because it’s not “up to your Disney World ’standards’” of a thrill.
We had been to Magic Kingdom 4 times and never had gone to this show. I don’t know what we were really waiting for, because I’ve heard many positive things about it. Mostly from parents, aunts, a few friends. It is hard not to appreciate how REAL these stage figures look. I had always heard that they “looked real” but never really thought much about it.
The show is a big long, but we really did appreciate it. All of the presidents on stage have their own little movements, quirks and ways of moving that make them interesting to watch. People must understand that this show is “an older part” of Disney…but that should make them appreciate it even more. Back when this was made, Disney was ahead of the game using the technologies that this show required. To make the movements, speeches and characters that it did way back when was a huge feat. I enjoyed the speeches, the entire show was worth it for my husband, myself and my 6 year old daughter…
My 6 year old really did enjoy this show. We had been teaching her about “presidents” for a little while. She knew what they were, knows their basic “jobs” and what they do. She appreciated this show. My 4 year old watched it for a little bit, and was tired- so she took a short nap. Yeah, this show is great for parents who want to get off their feet and let their kids rest for a bit (maybe even nap) on their tired parents. But, if you appreciate technology, history or even just getting a cool place to take a short break- then go to this show.
