We’re frequent visitors to Los Banos, and we always stay at the Vagabond Inn on Pacheco Blvd.
Vagabond Inn is one of the newer hotel/motels in Los Banos, located in central California. Los Banos is known as the Crossroads of California because so many highways run through or near it, including Interstate 5, Highway 152 (Pacheco Boulevard, in town), Highway 33, Highway 165 (Mercy Springs Road, in town), and Highway 99 passes within 15 or 20 miles.
Vagabond Inn features spacious rooms with conveniences such as a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and comfortable air conditioner/heater, and of course, a television.
Continental breakfast is available free in the lounge/meeting room next to the reception desk. There isn’t a restaurant on site, but there’s one next door. Every restaurant in Los Banos is but a short drive away.
The Inn also has an indoor swimming pool (though the heater was broken last time I tried to swim), a hot tub and an exercise room.
The lobby area is spacious and the staircase to the second floor is eye-catching. There is no elevator, so if a downstairs floor is needed just let them know when making reservations and they’ll accommodate you.
Vagabond Inn in Los Banos is centrally located on the main road through town and is a short day-trip drive to the coast or the mountains.
