I am currently at Devil’s Head Resort… my family came here for a quiet vacation. Hubby and I stayed here previously and there is not much in the way of crowds. However we have had problems while here. First thier staff is not very knowlegable about the area attractions and how to get to them, you need to have your trip planned ahead of time if you want to make the most of it. When we showed up we found that there is construction at the outdoor pool area - this is a big deal for us since we brought our children this time and thier indoor pool is overly clorinated. We went to the exercise room where there is supposed to be a ping pong table - hmmm, where is it? Also only one of the machines work in the exercise room (stair stepper. Back to the construction every day we have been here they have told us the construction would be done later that day. We had high hopes but so far it was all for nothing. Directly outside our window is the pool by the way - so that means the workers who are using heavy equipment are working starting at 7am.
We requested a smoking suite but got moved to two double rooms due to water damage (they put us in non smoking rooms). We requested another pillow (even tipping the housekeeping) but never recieved even with a separate phone call to them.
