Ok, this hotel is GORGEOUS! When you walk into the lobby, there is a huge, tall ceiling, think Sistine Chapel (but obviously on a smaller, less prestigious scale). We stayed in one of the Executive Suites on the 23rd floor. There are ’special’ elevators for these suites that you need a key for. We had our own private lounge on this floor complete with snacks, a bar and breakfast.
Our room was great! Unfortunately, not a great view…we were on the side so we got to look right at another building! We had 2 bathrooms, which was pretty unnecessary, but nice! There was a huge king sized bed, a couch, desk, 2 walk-in closets and a tv with a dvd player. The room was very clean and plush!
Pros:
1. great room, clean and nice!
2. We got 2 each of the mini soaps, shampoos, conditioners, body washes and body lotions. These were from Crabtree and Evelyn…very nice!
3. The robes provided make you feel like royalty!
4. The free breakfast was amazing! Gourmet muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, fresh juices, gourmet coffee and tea…free cans of soda and bottles of water.
Check in and out are efficient and fast
Cons:
1. I think if you’re paying $230 a night for a room, you should at least get free parking. We had to pay $28 still. They will validate…for a 24 hour period it’s about $35.
2. The room service is waaaay over-priced. I ordered a pizza (think personal pan from Pizza Hut size) for $15. There is an automatic $5 charge for ordering food and a 15% gratuity added. But you do get these really cute mini ketchup and mustard bottles.
3. a movie that you can rent was $12.99, but that’s probably normal.
