Nice, comfortable but could be better Intercontinental Resort Bali

It’s quite a big thiing to get me to an Intercontinental Hotel. A few years ago I had a big argument with them and despite having stayed over 100 nights that year they showed no interest in trying to resolve my complaint. Anyway, here I was in Bali, staying at the Intercon and expecting good things. It came recommended so I expected something good. Some expectations were met, some disappointments.

Many thefts on Nevis St. Kitts and Nevis

I think those people planning to visit Nevis of St. Kitts and Nevis have to take something into consideration. I have been going to Nevis for years and have enjoyed it thoroughly - I spend about 3 months of every winter there and visit a few time the rest of the year.

In the last year there has been a lot of break-ins, thefts of computers, watches, jewels, cameras - you name it.

Thieves even broke into the priest’s house at the local Catholic Church and stole the weekly offering, and the safe which contained his Irish passport. These items were never located.

It’s a Splash of Fun! Splash Mountain Disneyland

Splash Mountain is one of the most famous rides at Disneyland. It’s one that they use in a lot of their advertisements. After seeing it advertised, I knew I had to get on this ride. As you enter Bear Country you see the big drop that is part of this ride right away. This drop is what makes the ride so thrilling, and possibly too scarry for some children. Most people see the drop and want to get on the ride.

Great value! Stayed in 2004 & 2008. Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort LAKE BUENA VISTA

My Sister & her husband and daughter (6 at the time) stayed in a kidsuite in 2004. We were really trying to do ‘disney on a budget’! This hotel was $99 per night, and just far enough away from Disney that you felt you escaped the park and could relax.

I have stayed ‘on site’ in Disney before (1999) at the value resorts, and to be honest, The holiday inn wasnt that bad in comparison.

I purchased the Arcteryx Arro 16 as a replacement for a Black Diamond brand Bullet pack. I carried the Bullet almost everyday as someplace to hold book, notebook, phone, wallet, MP3 player, pocketknife, granola bar, water, windshirt, etc—all the stuff that a guy might carry around. Yeah, you can call it a man-purse, murse, or man-bag. Whatever. I, at least, find it convenient to have one place for all the small stuff that is genuinely useful to have around.

Renaissance Casa de Palmas is Like a Whole Other World! Renaissance Casa De Palmas

Neat place! I like staying at the Casa de Palmas in McAllen because it’s an oasis of civility and a fixture of permanence in a town that feels like it’s been totally swept up in unbridled out-of-control growth over the past 15 years or so. While the vast bulk of McAllen is basically a K-Mart and Motel 6 kind of place where people pass on through quickly, the Casa de Palmas sits on a dignified square in the historic old downtown area. It’s a bit of an oddity because it’s the best hotel for miles around — and has been since it was built back 1918!
